About me
Ben Zalkind is a writer living in Calgary. His debut novel, Honeydew, was published by Radiant Press in October 2025. In an adventurous past life, Ben made a spirited, but ultimately futile, effort to avoid STEM, which led to graduate degrees in literature and psychology and well-meaning forays into journalism, mental health research, and some fairly exotic corners of government bureaucracy. A Salt Lake City native and naturalized Western Canadian, Ben has lived all over Canada and the US. He is happiest outdoors, where he can cycle, drink coffee, and adventure with his wife and fellow traveller.
