CM Shanahan, known by some as Catherine Mackie, lives and writes on the Canadian prairies. Shanahan revels in a pristine blue sky and fields of green, gold and white as the season dictates. Often she hears the coyotes singing which remind her of the voices of the indigenous peoples who roamed this land and told stores for time immemorial.
