About me
Shawn Bird is an author and publisher in the beautiful Shuswap region of BC. Her novella Murdering Mr. Edwards was nominated for an Arthur Ellis Crimewriting award. Her serial 325 Alex appears in each issue of Salmon Arm's Friday AM. A flash story recently longlisted in the Australian Writers' Centre Furious Fiction challenge. She writes in a variety of genres including poetry. After 31 years in a high school classroom, she is an engaging speaker and educator, guiding participants with humour and confidence. As a publisher, she believes in the power of community and Lintusen Press supports new authors through the empowering process of collaboration.
