Lisa Williamson has roots in Canada, having been born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and now has her feet planted in Calgary, Alberta. Her professional career in the healthcare system and later as a business owner provided unique opportunities and experiences. She attended the University of Calgary and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History, with an English Minor, and a Creative Writing Certificate. Her submissions include magazines, literary journals, and anthologies. Lisa is a researcher and writer whose work draws on accounts of the past, weaving in the details of fertile plains, rich history, and cultural heritage of Ukraine and the surrounding landscapes of Eastern Europe, with a focus on the Interwar Period and World War II. She is involved with several global historical organizations and academic institutions. She belongs to multiple writing groups and attends writing conferences. Lisa is active with a humanitarian team. She is a globetrotter expanding her worldview. When not reading or writing, Lisa can be found wandering bookshops, swimming, or hiking. Her children are now grown, and she is experiencing the joy of a grandchild. She and her husband enjoy a vibrant city life and tranquil moments in a country home.
