Lavinia Leon (MD, PhD,
AuDHD) was born in Romania and writes about the times and forms of Home from amiskwaciwâskahikan / Edmonton. Her writing orbits around the in-betweens — "the eternally hybrid spaces that carry liminal and luminous qualities alike," she says. Lavinia received an Honourable Mention in the Off Topic Contest (creative non-fiction, 2023) and was longlisted for the Magpie Award for Poetry (2024). In 2025, she published two chapbooks,
